Our program of Physical Education contributes to all phases of individual growth and
development through movement and physical activities.
Some objectives to be realized are:
∙ The development of -loco motor and non -loco motor skills.
∙ physical game skills.
∙ total fitness.
∙ safety and attitudes.
∙ desirable social standards and ethical concepts and wholesale recreation for leisure time.
∙ Good sportsmanship is always emphasized.


All students are expected to follow P.E. rules and regulations established by the
Physical Education teacher and act in a manner that shows respect for the program.
During the very hot months, students are permitted to wear hats to P.E., bring
bottled water and are encouraged to use sunscreen.


Physical Education Uniforms:
All students in K through Eight are required to wear a physical education uniform,
sneakers and white socks. On the days they have P.E., students in K– 3rd grades may
wear P.E. uniforms all day. Grade 4 –8 students bring P.E. uniforms to school to
change. The P.E. uniforms (shorts and shirts) are to be purchased at Children’s World in
Sarasota. All articles of clothing should be marked with the student’s name in indelible
ink.


Sports Participation:
Intramural sports are a part of St. Charles Borromeo School in Grades 6 - 7- 8.
The program includes girls’ and boys’ basketball, volleyball, track, flag football, tennis
and soccer.

Athletic Registration and Bus Fee:

A fee will be assessed once a year for each student
in the intramural program. The fee for the school year is $75.00.
To participate in St. Charles Borromeo School sports the ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY
CONTRACT must be signed by each team member.
