Michael O'Loughlin arrived at St. Charles Borromeo School to begin his 19th year as a school administrator, following 19 years as a teacher of English in middle schools, high schools and colleges in New York, Vermont, and Puerto Rico. His experiences as a father of seven grown children, competitive runner, mountaineer, skier, and published author broadened his horizons sufficiently to give him "a clearer picture of priorities as a Christian educator and world citizen." Because of their "faith-based, challenging curricula and commitment to excellence, Catholic Schools exist and grow on the cutting-edge of cultural, as well as individual, potential." His goals include "unifying the Humanities curriculum around oratorical, writing and technological skillsets, and the creation of a Math-Science and Technology nexus into which students at every grade level can tap."
