Hello, Mrs. Hencher!

So this is a blast from the past!

I found the St. Charles web site through a friend, and upon searching the site I came across your email address. It's been years! I do hope this email finds you well and happy. I'm sure there is much we can say about our lives over the past twenty years; however, I will start with this: I owe so much of who I am as a person today to not only the school, but also to you. The small class size combined with one-on-one assistance is something that is rare, if not completely nonexistent today. Add in a solid foundation of religious education and you have quite a dynamic platform from which to teach.

But more importantly...your caring nature, true interest in your students, and love of teaching always shined through. You took the time to get to know us, and supported us in our endeavors. My love of literature and the English language stem from you. I entered my career as a technical writer and am now the Director of Product Development, responsible for creating curriculum and physical products for over fifteen product lines in eight years.

I am not sure if you even remember me. Students come and go. But do know this: Throughout all of these years I have always given credit to you and St. Charles for my successes - both in business and as a person. Please know that you have helped shape my life and who I am in many positive ways. I have had many teachers throughout my schooling, but none have left the impression that you have left on me.

And for that I thank you.

Sincerely, Lisa Marino
